STRUCTURE:

  • Each session begins with a clear introduction to the day’s topic – including useful phrases and relevant vocabulary to help you speak with confidence.

  • 3-4 discussion rounds, each lasting 20-25 minutes, with changing partners – including vocabulary-focused exercises and a variety of tasks.

  • A shared mini-project: (No group presentation, don’t worry!) This part is especially useful for preparing for the “Speaking” module of ÖIF and ÖSD exams.

  • Between rounds: Feedback, error analysis, and improvement suggestions.

  • The emphasis in this course is on communication and speaking fluency rather than grammar. However, I do provide corrective feedback on grammar when necessary.

Naturally, I listen closely to all your conversations, which enables me to provide individual suggestions for improvement.

You’ll receive a small script with the day’s most important questions, grammar structures, and vocabulary to take home – useful for daily life and exams.

We create a safe space where you’re encouraged to experiment, where mistakes are welcome because everyone learns from them, and where you’ll grow more confident with every session.
You’ll see how, step by step, you can speak about any topic with ease.

Deepen your communication skills in speaking, listening and understanding with fun and ease, become steadily more courageous, speak out about what moves you and get to know new people from all over the world.

Of course, I’m happy to see you every week, since regular practice especially has the greatest long-term effect.
However, if your daily routine doesn’t allow it, you can simply come on the days when topics are discussed that interest you the most. There is no obligation to book a complete course.

Upcoming topics:

Life Dreams and Goals
As the year begins, we will first address the question of whether anyone has made resolutions for the new year and how they can be implemented. We will also discuss whether resolutions are realistic and achievable at all.
Afterwards, we will look at the big dreams and goals in life and give each other tips and tricks on how to achieve these goals.

Values and Society
What does society actually mean and which values are important for it to function? Have values changed over time? How are values formed and can they also differ culturally? What is the difference between values and morals?
What do you personally value and how do you manage to maintain, live and pass on values?

Health
Today we're discussing everything to do with personal health. Its impact on the body, mind and soul. We're exchanging ideas about various culture-specific "home remedies" and grandma's cures. What can everyone do to stay healthy and fit? What impact does a lack of health have? We're also going to critically examine the various health systems in our countries.

There are various speaking tasks and small projects for these topics that you will complete together with a partner. We will work on suitable vocabulary, incorporate good stylistic devices and phrases, and after each round we will evaluate together what was already good and where there is still room for improvement.

Subject to change at any time.
